“Art Chat” is the Island Art Association’s monthly gathering for fun and education. It is generally held the third Tuesday of each month in the Art Education Center of the IAA and begins with refreshments and socializing at 6:30 P.M. and the featured event beginning at 7. As always, Art Chat is open to members as well as the public at large.
The September 2018 Art Chat & General meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 25 beginning at 6:30pm.
There will be a special presentation by a group of IAA artists entitled “The Exquisite Corpse”. (In 1925 a group of artists invented a collaborative art game that became known as “The Exquisite Corpse”. Nine local artists recently participated in an exciting new variation of this game. The collaboration was an exercise in experimenting and challenging creativity. Come hear how it unfolded and the activity’s outcomes, and see the final art pieces at a presentation at 7 pm Sept.25 in the Island Art Association’s Education Building at 18 N 2nd St.)
