Chad Bridges grew up in a military family, joined the Navy, became a Seabee and was imtroduced to woodworking. Hurricane Katrina took Chad’s home. He states that he was able to cope with the total devastation by returning to woodworking. He is a self-taught woodturning artist/artisan, who now also teaches woodworking in the Adirondacks each summer. Chad started Chad’s Charity Challenge for Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital and makes, then donates his woodturned, hand-made ornaments to those hospitalized children at Christmas. He was the Featured Artist of the Island Art Association Co-op Gallery in February of 2013. Chad loves working with wood!
