EmyLee McBrearty

Born in Georgia, Emylee has lived in Florida most of her life. She became interested in art as a young girl, beginning with colored pencils and then pastels. She began to paint with oils as a young adult. For Emylee, painting is a passion. When not painting, she is in her studio reading and thinking about art and painting. She is fascinated with color and the interplay of light and shadow. Starting out as a landscape painter, she has become interested in still life as well as figure painting.

In addition to studying under local artists, Emylee has taken many workshops from nationally known artists. Lois Griffel of the Cape Cod School of Art and Charles Sovek have had the greatest impact on her painting. Her work is owned by collectors across the United States and in Germany.
