Elio Camacho, "Exploring Color with Still Lifes"
March 13-15, 2023, 9 AM to 4 PM, $395
As a painting instructor, Elio’s mission is to provide students with the foundation necessary to be creative. His goal is to assist students in capturing the particular mood of the moment and to express themselves in a bold and colorful way, while capturing the beauty and spontaneity of life. Elio’s workshops/classes are very hands on, with an emphasis on easel side critiques. He believes that giving instruction is important but showing students how this instruction applies to their individual work is crucial. Based on the student’s level and goals, Elio develops a program for improving each individual’s ability as a painter. https://www.colorrelations.com/shop/2023/

You will have plenty of time to paint while Jory goes around the room giving individual support. There will be a positive group critique at the end of each day. This workshop is for all levels.

She teaches weekly pastel classes at the North River Art Association and the Plymouth Center for the Arts. She leads workshops both regionally and abroad and is a juror of awards.
“Jory’s enthusiasm and energy inspires her students and influences her art. I have taken several classes with Jory as well as going with her to Tuscany as she led a week long workshop of plein aire painting.
She is a supportive teacher with an eye for just the right detail to enhance and finish a painting.
In addition, she is adventurous! She has introduced me to many new techniques, uses of color and mixed media, and has encouraged me to push out of my comfort zone.
I believe her sense of adventure in life carries over into her love of painting and generous teaching style.”

The Beauty of Landscape Painting in Oils
with Robin Popp
May 20th, 2023, 10 AM – 5 PM, $125
Intermediate to Advanced Painters
We live in one of the most beautiful locations in the country! With so much inspiration, it’s just natural that artists want to record it on canvas. In this one day workshop we will explore all the components for building a great landscape painting. From Composing a great scene, to mixing a variety of greens that show depth, and learning the building blocks of creating realistic trees, Robin will take you step by step into her process. Plus, she will share all her shortcuts and tricks for getting out in the field with your oil paints.
“A naturalist at heart, plein air painting gives me the opportunity to observe nature while immersed in it. The slow, steady movement of living things inspires me to patiently pay attention. I use oil paint for its luminosity as well as for the enduring, earthly elements that compose the paint itself. As a Florida artist, I feel a responsibility to document what is so quickly changing in our state, and to preserve it visually for future generations. I also hope to give the viewer a sense of peace and joy as they experience the artwork.” –Robin Popp
