Depy Adams is a native of North Carolina and lived in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Tucson, AZ, and Albuquerque, NM before moving to Fernandina Beach in 2018. She has Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Education degrees from the art department of UNC-Greensboro and has studied with many artists whose work she admires. She had a long career in art education. Depy is a signature member of the Pastel Society of NM and a signature member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society. She has received many awards in juried competitions and has shown widely in solo and group shows across the US. She was juried in as an exhibiting artist of the Island Art Association in 2019. Depy works in oil, watercolor, gouache, pastel and egg tempera. Subjects vary from figurative, landscape, and still life. Her paintings are done in a realistic style.
