Jim McKinney started creating wearable sculptures, known as Jewelry, fashioned from gold and silver, many years ago. Jim also cut his own semi-presious stones incorporating them into his unique and original designs. Leaving behind his military and computer industry careers, Jim returned to his first love, painting upon his arrival to Fernandina Beach. He primarily paints landscapes of local areas as well as landscapes representing countries he has visited. He works in oils and acrylics. Jim is currently continuing work on his large American Beach Sand Dune series. His work can be found in both private and corporate collections. [email protected]
