When I was a young girl, I loved to draw, paint and create.   In high school I took drawing and painting lessons and even experimented with pastels.  College, majoring in business, marriage, raising a family and a career in real estate put any interest in art on the back burner.

When we retired from our careers in 1987, my husband and I moved to Amelia Island from Chagrin Falls, Ohio.  Here I found myself right in the midst of an art community.  My artist friends encouraged me to pick up a pencil and draw and I
soon tried my hand at watercolor.  I fell in love with it.  I then took lessons and workshops from several renowned watercolorists.

I enjoy working with strong colors in an impressionistic style.  Recently I have tried my hand at acrylics and with that medium I am reaching out to do abstract painting.

I have been a member of the Island Art Assn. since 1998 and am also a member of the Plantation Artists Guild and Gallery.
