Nancy is a colorist and strives to make her original paintings using good design principles and a center of interest.
She was born and educated in Mississippi receiving BFA degree from Mississippi
State University for Women.
Living in Memphis Tennessee, she taught art to junior high students and later when she and family moved to Dothan Alabama.
Her style of art has changed over time from painting realism, palm trees, making floor cloths, mono printing and painting on silk.
She has won awards for her art work locally and nationally.
Nancy was a artist exhibiting at Southern Breeze Gallery in Jackson Mississippi for 20 years before it closed due COVID-19 at the beginning of this year. It was ranked as the number one gallery in the state.
She has been a member of the Island Art Association since 1991 where she has worked to make the association better by being on the board and holding offices. Also selling over 2500 pieces of art.
