Susan Colcord

Susan was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Alexandria, VA. In 2004 she moved to Florida and now resides in Fernandina Beach. Her professional career was split between Health Information Management and Nursing.

Susan works in acrylic and paints in a realistic manner on canvas and wood. Her love for painting began as a young adult but it wasn’t until retirement that her artistic journey really took flight. Her artwork reflects her love of the surroundings she observes. Susan has taken instruction from Allison Watson, Kathleen Maurer, Patrick Saunders and Stewart Cubley. Painting gives her the joy of timeless presence.
