Rob Buckley is a landscape painter concentrating on experience of the mood that light and sky creates on seascapes and marshes. He works in oils and paints on aluminum, Dibond, and canvas. Buckley is a retired lawyer from Vermont. He moved to Amelia Island in 2012. Rob started painting in 2014 after attending a workshop in Provence given by Julian Merrow-Smith, creator of Postcards from Provence, with whom he has studied 3 times. He has also studied with Elio Camacho, Michael Story, David Dunlop, artist, teacher and Emmy Award winner for his PBS series, Landscapes Through Time, and currently with Deborah Paris, a modern tonalist.
